Depart
from Anchorage's Merrill Field and fly 75
minutes to Denali National Park. As you approach
and circle Mt. McKinley, watch for climbers on
their way to the summit. After landing, you will
board a bus for your park tour. Your driver will
assist you in spotting wildlife along the road
and answer questions about the park and its
resources. The return flight to Anchorage offers
a different perspective of the area. Tour
includes round trip air from Anchorage with
scenic fly-by of Mt. McKinley, a 6-8 hour
National Park Service bus tour into Denali,
transfers in Denali, and a box lunch.

Glacier
Discovery Train with Float Trip
Depart on the
Alaska Railroad to Spencer Glacier in the remote
Chugach Mountains. Then board your raft for a
gentle float among the icebergs at Spencer Lake

Summer
Glacier Dog Mushing
The greatest Alaskan experience of
all - dog sledding on a glacier! Tour departs
from Girdwood, located 45 minutes south of
Anchorage. Enjoy a scenic helicopter flight to
the unique glacier base camp which serves as a
summer-time training ground for Iditarod sled
dogs. Learn about mushing from a 9-time Iditarod
trail veteran and drive the team yourself along
a spectacular 2-mile glacier trail. Please

Prince
William Sound - 26 Glacier Cruise
This full-day adventure begins with a transfer
to Whittier from downtown Anchorage via coach or
rail. On arrival in Whittier board a high-speed
catamaran for your cruise through Prince William
Sound. Watch for sea otters, whales and birds as
you travel through glacier-filled College and
Harrimann Fjords. This tour provides an
excellent opportunity to witness glacier
calving. Enjoy a hot lunch on board.

Kenai
Fjords National Park Cruise
Departs early morning from Anchorage by rail
(6:45am) to Seward. At 11:30 am, depart on a
6-hour wildlife and glacier cruise into the
Kenai Fjords National Park. This area is famous
for its rich marine wildlife, beautiful fjords,
stunning coastal landscapes and numerous
glaciers. Keep watch for Stellar sea lions,
puffins, harbor seals, sea otters and birds; you
may even see a whale or bald eagle! Stop at
either Aialik or Holgate glacier for a chance to
witness glacier calving. Return to Anchorage by
train (arrive10:15pm). Includes deli-style

Glacier
Hiking
Just south of
Anchorage, the Alyeska Glacier is nestled in
Glacier Bowl of the Chugach Mountains.
Overlooking breathtaking views of the Turnagain
Arm and towering alpine peaks, you will be
amazed while peering into crevasses during the
Alaskan Midnight Sun. Ride the scenic Alyeska
Tram and then hike for about 40 minutes a scenic
ridgeline surrounded by the seven glaciers of
the Girdwood Valley and outstanding views. At
the glacier's edge, you will gear up with
climbing harnesses, ropes and/or crampons,
over-boots to travel out onto the glacier
itself. Trip includes all equipment, experienced
and certified mountain guides, tram ticket and
interpretive glaciology discussions. A snack and
water is provided. While this is a moderate to
strenuous activity, no previous experience is
needed. Ages 10 and up.
Wear warm
comfortable clothes in layers and hiking boots.

Arctic
Excursions - Barrow
Fly 330 miles north of the
Arctic Circle to Barrow, the northernmost point
on the continent and Alaska's largest Eskimo
village. This excursion provides insight into
the ancient Inupiat Eskimo culture and
subsistence lifestyle of the Arctic. Whaling,
sealing, and other traditions are introduced.
