Salmon Fishing Tour

The protected waters of the Inside Passage near Juneau are home to bountiful populations of salmon.  Join a 30-foot charter boat operated by an experienced, Coast Guard-licensed captain, for a spectacular fishing excursion.  Depending on run timing, you will be pursuing King, Chum, Pink or Silver Salmon.  Light tackle fishing equipment, bait, tackle, raingear, snacks and beverages are provided.  Mandatory fishing licenses ($20 cash only) and king salmon tags ($10 cash only) are available for purchase on board the boats.  Fish processing and shipment home are available at an additional cost.  Besides great fishing opportunities, your outing will provide excellent scenery and great opportunities to view and photograph marine mammals and bird life.

Halibut Fishing Tour

You can expect a travel time of approx. 60 minutes out to the halibut grounds with approx. 4 hours of fishing time and 60 minutes travel time back to the dock.  The Bottom Fishing Tour targets Halibut, Ling Cod, and Red Snapper and salmon.  Bottom Fishing is done by “Jigging” bait off the ocean floor, typically in 200-400Ft. of water.  Each fisherman has a rod that they can hold or place in a rod holder until a fish takes the bait.  Bottom Fishing is done on the open ocean and is subject to ocean swells and wind chop.  Seasickness precautions should be taken in advance.  Rough does not always mean unfishable, but if the weather does not permit, we will cancel the tour and try to place interested parties on the 4-Hour Salmon Trip if capacity permits.
