Flightseeing Tours in Juneau
Taku
Glacier Lodge
Fly in a
nostalgic floatplane over five breathtaking
glaciers to an authentic wilderness lodge for a
king salmon feast. Your adventure begins the
moment you take off from the waterfront near
your ship’s berth. Enjoy a narrated flight from
a window seat which provides an unrestricted
view of the five magnificent glaciers of the
Juneau Icefield. The plane will land on the Taku
River by the historic Taku Lodge built in 1923.
As you enjoy your hearty all-you-can-eat
barbeque salmon meal, your host will entertain
you with stories of characters from the early
days. Before your flight back to Juneau, there
will be time to stroll on the trails of the
old-growth forest or relax and soak in the
serenity of a place scarcely touched by time.

Mendenhall Glacier by
Helicopter & Guided Walk
Board a modern
turbine-powered helicopter for a flight to the
world famous Mendenhall Glacier! Moments after
departing Juneau, you’ll enjoy breathtaking
vistas seen by few. Thriving rain forests,
alpine ridges, and mountain peaks create a
dramatic setting for the awe-inspiring
Mendenhall Glacier. Your flight takes you over
the glacier itself; the helicopter’s perspective
giving you an eagle’s eye view of ice spires,
deep blue crevasses and meltwater pools.
Descending towards our landing site, you’ll fly
past the Mendenhall Towers -- rock sentinels
that soar to nearly 7,000 feet! A gentle
landing brings you to the ice itself, where
you’ll explore the glacier’s surface with our
highly experienced, expert guides. Binoculars
and your camera are a must, as you never know
when you’ll have a chance to see some of
Alaska’s famous wildlife.
