Misty Fjords & Glacier Flightseing with Landing

This spectacular air tour combines the unmatched beauty of the Misty Fjords National Monument with several of Alaska's most dramatic glaciers. You'll take in the primitive wilderness of the Misty Fjords and continue to the quaint border town of Hyder, Alaska, where the Soule, Through and Chickamin and Salmon Glaciers wind through valleys ringed by rugged, often snowcapped mountains.

Interesting narration is provided by your pilot, who will communicate with you over your own personal headset. He'll point out local landmarks and put you as close as you can be to one or more of these massive active glaciers, soaring above a centuries-old icefield punctuated by deep blue crevasses and imposing overhanging cornices, and allowing you a chance to bathe your senses in the awesome beauty of your surroundings.

And, with the internationally acclaimed Hyder Bear Observatory not far away, your pilot will search for feeding brown and black bears as well as Sitka black-tailed deer, mountain goats and moose - all part of the wide array of wildlife that makes its home in this beautiful area of Southeastern Alaska.  A landing on a remote lake or shoreside provides an additional thrill and wonderful photo opportunities.
