Wilderness Sea Kayaking Adventure

We begin our sea kayaking adventure by suiting up in quality raingear and lifejackets before transferring to a floating kayak base camp by motorized inflatable raft. The short and invigorating journey takes you past Sitka and the surrounding mountains. Upon arrival at the base camp, you’ll be instructed in the use of safe, oceangoing, two-person kayaks by knowledgeable staff. Groups of four to six kayaks will be led by an experienced guide, well versed in paddling techniques and the marine environment of the area. The waterways offer a variety of attractions, such as colorful inter-tidal invertebrates, eagles swooping from the tree tops, or the grandeur of the lush rainforest. You may even see a brown bear, harbor seal, or Sitka black-tailed deer.
