Tour on the Stikine River
The
Stikine River flows over 400 miles from the snow
capped mountains of British Columbia to the
Pacific Ocean and has over 20 glaciers feeding
it. The region is rich in Native Alaskan,
Russian, and gold rush history. The trip up
river takes you through pristine wilderness and
into a region of wildflowers, forests and alpine
country, through Shakes Lake. The region offers
good opportunities for wildlife viewing,
including bears, moose and eagles. Each jet boat
has comfortable seating, and all passengers are
outfitted in warm, weatherproof clothing.
